Dr. Randal M. Cox

  • Therapeutic Optometrist

Dr Randal M CoxDr. Cox founded what is now known as Family Eye Care Clinic in 1980.  Since that time, he's become known to the medical community and his patients for his expertise, as well as his warm and gentle manner.

Dr. Cox received his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston.  Following this, he graduated with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was elected to the Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity.

Dr. Cox is a member of numerous regional and national professional associations, including the East Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Foundation, and the International Contact Lens Society.

He maintains an active profile in the community and in his church as well. He has served as a member of the Atlanta Lions Club, past director of Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce and volunteer for the United Way. He has been a member of Atlanta Baseball Association and coached little league baseball for fourteen years. He enjoys hunting, fishing, reading and playing golf.

Dr. Cox makes his home in Atlanta with his wife Rita.

 

Dr. Terry D. Foster

Dr Terry D FosterDr. Foster joined Family Eye Care Clinic in 1994.  He continues to provided specialized Vision and Ocular Health Care at Family Eye Care Clinic while growing not just relationships but friendships with his patients.  

He completed his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University where he was a member of the Alpha Chi academic honor fraternity.  He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was elected to membership in the Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity.  Dr. Foster's formal education was completed by two internships in both corneal and retinal departments of the University of Texas Medical Center at Houston.

Dr. Foster is a member of regional, state, and national professional associations including the East Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. 

Dr. Foster stays active in the community with his church and social functions, including having served as a board member for the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Atlanta Softball Association.  Dr. Foster has established his home with his wife Melba and daughters Lauren and Natalie in Atlanta, Texas.

 

Dr. Adam R. Cox

Dr Adam R CoxDr. Cox joined Family Eye Care Clinic in 2012.  He is now providing comprehensive eye care in the clinical setting, as well as extending his services to meet the unique vision needs of many nursing home residents at numerous facilities. Dr. Foster had previously maintained a number of nursing home patients that will now be under the care of Dr. Cox. 

He received his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University.  He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Cox worked at two externship sites including a private practive rotation in Greenville, TX and a public health practice in Houston, TX. Both sites provided Dr. Cox with extensive experience in ocular disease management including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. He finished his studies at the College of Optometry with specialty rotations in both Pediatric and Low Vision clinics. Upon graduation, Dr. Cox received the most outstanding clinician in primary care award for his clinical performance while at the University of Houston.

Dr. Cox is a member of numerous local and national professional associations including the East Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Ocular Surface Society of Optometry, the Sports Vision section of the American Optometric Association, and is an InfantSEE provider.  

Dr. Cox has recently moved back to Atlanta and has a great interest in becoming more involved in both the community and his church. He wants to not only provide vision care to the community but ensure it's growth and prosperity in all areas. Dr. Cox enjoys the outdoors during his free time and any time he gets to spend with his new wife Jennifer.

 

Dr. Michael A. Minadeo

Dr Michael A MinadeoAs Family Eye Care Clinic, P.C. flourished and expanded with Dr. Cox and Dr. Foster's expertise, it became apparent that providing all the visual needs for their diverse patient population required an exceptional ocular surgeon.  Dr. Michael A. Minadeo began practice with our clinic in 1997.  He specializes in cataract surgery and general ophthalmology.

Dr. Minadeo completed his ophthalmology residency at State University of New York, Buffalo and moved to East Texas in 1985.  He has four grown children and enjoys hunting, flying and spending time with his family.
